My Trip to India
I had the opportunity to travel to India this past January, I was there for a month. This was my first international trip, and it wasn’t easy. I spent most of my time in southern India, in the state of Kerala. I also had the chance to fly up to New Delhi and then take a train to Agra.
The nice thing about northern India was that they speak English fairly well. So it was easier to get around. In southern India, I was lucky to have my uncle to guide me. I could never make sense of the train schedules.
Upon my return to the United States, it took me several months to return to my old self. Like I said…it wasn’t an easy experience. But I do look forward to future trips and will probably go back to India someday.
One funny thing I remember – I took a lot of supplies with me to India for the month…I think there are probably only three things you need to take. 1. Toilet paper – because they don’t really sell it there. 2. Bug spray and of course doctor prescribed medicines. 3. Sunscreen. I’ll keep it at that. The rest of the stuff you need – you can probably buy in India.
Getting ready for construction
I work for the UCSB Library…ever since I started working here we’ve been working towards the goal of a major renovation and addition to the library. It is a project that will take 2.5+ years. When it is done we will need to integrate all kinds of technologies into the new and old buildings. The past few weeks have basically been busy as we move staff and shutdown the existing buildings.
February 6th Run
Tonight there was a full moon and it was a little chilly, however after about 15 minutes of running I started to shed my layers. It was an enjoyable nighttime in the hilly Lower Riviera area of Santa Barbara.

I’m still figuring out how this website interface works…so for now the content is kinda dry.
